🎶Save the date!🎶 On the 1st and 2nd of June MSO will be giving its summer concerts! The concerts will be in the Audiozaal in de Vrijhof, Utwente. We will be playing 4 different composers: the wonderful and fun symphonic dances of Grieg, the exciting and mysterious 4th symphony of Schumann, the dramatic Corolian overture of Beethoven and the lighthearted horn concerto of Mozart played by one of our own members. This concert is not something you would want to miss, so make sure to mark Sunday afternoon, or the Monday evening in your calendar and we hope to see you there!
On 10 and 24 February 2024, the MSO has open rehearsals! An open rehearsal is the perfect opportunity to feel how it is to play in the MSO. Are you (maybe) interested? Definitely come by and have a try.

On the 9th and the 15th of December the MSO will be giving concerts! On the 9th of December we will have a concert in the Vrijhof. On the 15th of December we will celebrate our 60th birthday with a wonderful Lustrum concert! Join us as we combine our forces with old members. It will be a night full of celebration and it will take you back to the old days of MSO.
We will play wonderfull pieces such as: The March in D minor and the 3 pieces for orchestra of Bruckner, the symphony number 3 of Borodin and the Swedish dances of Bruch.
During the concert on the 9th of December we will play the Estampas Mexicanas of Elizondo, which has a character that you may not know from us…
On the 15th of December the old members will play the L’Arlésienne Suite of Bizet.

We just finished our winter program and are now preparing for the summer, which means: now is the perfect opportunity to join the orchestra! You can even join the concert trip to Copenhagen!

Last concerts we had to say goodbye to our conductor, Peter Bogaert. Peter guided us for 7 years and we had a lot of fun with him. This year we will start under the direction of a new conductor, Hanrich Claassen. We are looking forward to our new collaboration and the coming season!
